OUR VISION
The Laval Entrepreneur Mentor Program (EMP) provides aspiring students from all disciplines an opportunity to build relationships with Central Valley's top leaders and entrepreneurs.
The two semester Program builds professional skills through weekly sessions, community mixers, field trips, national conference attendance, and lunches.
Students are matched with a mentor who best suits their aspirations. In addition, students have access to over 100 mentors in the program, with an opportunity to build relationships that will last a lifetime.
Student Enrollment
Students from Central Valley universities and colleges are eligible to join EMP. Applications are accepted after April 1 for the Fall semester and after November 1 for the Spring semester. Students are accepted into the program on a rolling basis. Once we receive your application, we schedule an interview to learn more about your goals and aspirations. Ten students are selected each semester joining ten students who are continuing into their second semester.
Awards
A generous gift from the Laval family has made it possible to provide cash awards based on students demonstrating their commitment to building entrepreneurial thinking and behaviors into their chosen professional career path. Each semester $6000 in awards are made to students who meet the criteria.
